Center
Tap Resistors
Center tap resistors provide two identical
resistors in series in a single device, and they are
available in all case sizes except 0202. These resistors
can be specified with an overall tolerance as tight
as 0.1%, and a ratio tolerance as tight as 0.05%. Custom
designs can be provided that have two different values
on the same chip. Contact the factory for details. |
Back
Contact Resistors (BCR's)
These
resistors use a conductive silicon substrate to make
an electrical connection between the top surface and
the metallized bottom of the chip. By requiring a single
wire bond connection BCR’s allow a more dense
circuit design. These devices are available in the 0202
and 0303 case sizes in values 100 ohms and higher with tolerances
as tight as 0.5%. |

Multi-Tap
Resistors
SOTA supplies
two varieties of wire bondable multi-tap resistors.
These extremely compact .035"X.035" thin film
on silicon or alumina (see page 17) resistors supply
a wide choice of nominal resistance values by wire bonding
to the appropriate pad. Total resistance values are
available up to 150 K ohms in 5 or 10% absolute tolerance
with TCR’s as tight as 50 ppm. Design MT1 has
7 R1 and 5 R2 resistors where R1 = 5xR2. Design MT2
has 10R1 and 10R2 resistors where R1 = 10xR2. Multi-tap
resistors are specified using the total resistance value
and adding a -MT1 or -MT2 suffix to the part number.

0609
Ladder Networks
.060"X.090" resistor networks on silicon are
available in two schematics. Schematic A has eight isolated
resistors of identical value, and Schematic B has eight
resistors of identical value with a common ground connection.
These devices are available in values from 100 ohms to
500 K ohms in 5 or 10% tolerance with TCR’s as tight
as 50 ppm. Ladder networks are specified using the individual
resistance value, a 0609 size code, and a -A or -B suffix
for the schematic type in the part number. |
