State of the Art, Inc.’s space heritage began with the Voyager program launched in 1977.  State of the Art, Inc. resistor products are found on most satellite programs.

Space programs prefer to use MIL-PRF-55342, MIL-PRF-32159, or MIL-PRF-914 products when available. Many space applications use product level R, U, S, V, or T MIL-PRF-55342 products for mission critical applications.  Product level T provides 100% power conditioning and a full Group B and is commonly used in mission critical space applications. 

Space programs also use source control drawings to screen products. Some source control drawings subject QPL product to additional screening or apply tighter pass/fail criteria to meet the requirements of the mission critical space application.
